Weekend Recap

Linking up with several bloggers today, to share our weekend with you!

Happy Monday! We are here recapping our very uneventful weekend. I apologize in advance, there's very few good pictures. We need lazy weekends every now and then, and we certainly got one.

We woke up early Friday morning, and went to get breakfast at Porto's bakery.

Ella is not at all interested in taking this photo. She would much rather dive into that egg and cheese croissant.

Ella enjoyed every bite!

I literally have no more pictures from Friday. We were too busy having fun... or napping. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out a home. It was really low-key, and extremely relaxing.

Saturday began early, as Ella was wide awake at 5 am. Still trying to figure out these early wake ups. What causes them and how to stop them..

A bottle on the couch, followed by breakfast and lots of playing time.

We went on an early morning walk.

My girl is looking so big these days!

Lots of swinging. No other kids to play with as it was so early, and still super foggy!

Ella napped from 9:30-11, while I did a lot lot of nothing. I was exhausted from only 5 hours of sleep. I need at least 7 to feel functional. I spent the time reading, pinning, internet browsing and meal planning. Glorious.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

Some noodles and chicken for lunch.

After lunch it was time for some errands. Fill up with gas. Check. Go through the car wash. Check. Get quarters from the bank. Check. Stop at the grocery store for pumpkins. Check-except they were out of pumpkins, so it looks like we'll have to wait till the pumpkin patch opens!

Ella began crawling this weekend which is amazing. I was starting to think she would skip crawling and go straight to walking, but she was a crawling champ on Saturday.

I did a load of laundry and some housework while Ella played until Michael got home from work. After a quick nap, we went to Michael's parents for dinner. It was over 90 degrees where they live, and their condo has a pool, but we forgot to pack swim stuff. #boo

The rest of the night was undocumented. Again, super lazy and relaxing! Ella was in bed by 7 and we were asleep ourselves by 10. I fell asleep watching Real Housewives of OC... #dontjudge! It's super cringe-y but it's a guilty pleasure.

Sunday started at 6:15. I was SO happy we didn't have another 5 am start. Although I would be happier with a 7 o'clock wake up, but I guess I have to take what I can get.

This is totally my life.

Morning walk to the park while Michael went to the gym, our usual! Ella was SO excited that I let her hold my to-go cup when it was empty. She was squealing, shouting and SO happy.

After we got home from our walk to the park, we hopped in the car and went to the grocery store. I had to buy too much to walk there and back. As you can see, I forgot my other reusable grocery bags, sigh. Michael was just getting home when we pulled in, so he took care of Ella while I put the groceries away and then we put her down for her first nap.

After nap time, we decided we HAD to get out of the house. We decided to go to the aquarium!

The aquarium was so busy we had to park in a different structure and walk over.

We stopped in the bird exhibit! You can purchase nectar for $4 and feed the birds. I made the mistake of setting the cup down, and that bird you see in the background would squawk at me every time I tried to take it back!

Ella enjoyed the waterfall exhibit. She enjoyed the other children playing around her even more!

Lots of aquarium fun. So glad we purchased annual passes- they have been SO worth it.

After the aquarium, we stopped for happy hour at one of our favorite places on Main Street. Ella had an absolute blast and the amount of food she consumed isn't even normal.

We decided to go to some open houses in a neighborhood in Long Beach we have been considering for our future home search. They are all midcentury modern homes and extremely unique compared to most of the other homes we've seen. We saws 3 home all very close to each other. They were super cute and it helped give us some perspective on our future options!

And that is where my pictures end! We spent the rest of our Sunday doing our usual. Laundry, cleaning, etc. Ella was in bed by 7 while I finished up my cleaning and an early bed time! Super uneventful, but was so nice just to spend time together and rest before a busy work week.

Thanks for reading.
Did you do anything fun this weekend?
