Our Father's Day

Hi all! It's hard to believe that Monday is here already. Whyyy must the weekend go by so fast? Sigh. I'm about to grab Ella out of her crib so I need to keep this short and sweet. I'm sharing a bit of our Sunday / Father's Day with you. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and have a great start to your week too.

I made sure to wake up early Sunday morning so I could set up a couple balloons and cards for Michael for Father's day. We let him sleep in (because that's what every parent really wants) but had his coffee ready and waiting for him for when he woke up.

Ella and I had worked on a couple small cards for him.

We took a family walk to the pier to enjoy our coffees and watch all the surfers!

Ella also enjoyed watching the fisherman and the pigeons! I love watching her observe things and just seeing the wonder in her eyes. It's so special.

We spent the morning playing together! Cars, blocks, dolls, etc. We also had a little kitchen dance party- the best!

I had ordered some take out from our FAVORITE restaurant for lunch/dinner for Father's Day. We ordered enough to eat it all day long. Michael was so thrilled... authentic Chinese food 2 days in a row!!! I love this particular restaurant because they make the vegetables taste absolutely incredible. After lunch and during Ella's nap I did 5 loads of laundry... I ended up going to the laundromat so we could get it done faster. Plus we're having issues with our laundry at the apartment, so the laundromat made sense. After folding and putting away the laundry, Ella woke up from her nap and we packed up stroller with our bags and walked down to the beach.

Ella had a much better day this time around. We came prepared with lots of little snacks and toys. A friend suggested digging her a hole to play in, so we did that and she liked it a lot. She loved digging around in the sand and burying her toys.

It was such a beautiful day with my sweeties. The rest of our night looked like... Dance parties in the kitchen, freeze pops, bubble baths and early bedtime for all!

Thanks to the hosts for the link up today.

1. What was one fun thing you did this weekend?
2. Totally random but I need helppppp. If you're a Mom, do you have any tips for washing your child's hair? Ella hates it!

We'll see you all later this week!

  2. That sounds like a wonderful and relaxing father's day! I once bought my kids these special visors to wears in the tub that kept the water out of their face while I was washing their hair and it made a huge difference.
