Friday Favorites

Hi friends, happy Friday! We had a nice week and have a long weekend ahead, so we are pretty excited about that. I was ready for a day of a lot of outdoor fun, but unfortunately we woke up to rain. Boo! I see some baking, soup making and crafts in our future this weekend. Here are some favorite moments and things from our week...

One-

Ella and I did some baking this week, which was her absolute favorite. She had been asking me to make 'pink cookies' for a while now. I saw some sugar cookie mix and the pink frosting when we were at Target. She was sooo excited to bake cookies with me, and helped every step of the way.

She even helped me roll the dough!

We made Mickey Mouse and Christmas tree shaped cookies, per Ella's request.

And she LOVED frosting and eating them the most! :)

Two-

I put together a little Valentine's Day basket for Ella. I got her practical items that she needed, but she still loved it (we gave it to her early.) Everything came from either The Dollar Tree or the Target Dollar Spot, other than the water bottle. It was a cheap and easy way to make her smile. My Mom always did something on each of the little holidays for us kids, and we always loved it. It's a tradition I plan to continue with my girls.

Three-

We got this pancake mix at Costco this past week and we really enjoyed it this week.

It's quick and easy to make, because you just have to add water. And it's super easy to flip in the pan without sticking, so Ella can help me make them easily! She really likes to dip hers in a melted peanut butter sauce.

Four-

My bump is really growing! People keep telling me how large I am (not my favorite...) butttt feeling this sweet little baby kicking and moving around daily is. We can't wait to meet her, but we still have about 14 weeks to go. It's hard to believe I have to wait THAT long :P

Five-

This sweet happy face swinging is my favorite. Having a park so close to home has been so nice.

Six-

We celebrated Chinese New Year all week long, which was our favorite. I put together a shelf of activities for Ella and she really enjoyed all of them. If you have any little ones in your life, check out the post we did on our shelf here.

Seven-

We got this sweet little Valentine from my Meme in the mail and Ella just lost it. The turtle is her favorite, she was sooo happy. She also sent her a chocolate (not pictured...) because she ate it before I snapped a pic, hahaha! Growing up I remember loving to visit my Meme and see her ty beanie baby collection. She has soooo many and now she is starting to distribute them among her great grandchildren and that just melts my heart.

That's all we have for favorites this week. We will be back to share our shelf update on Sunday and will have a brief weekend recap on Monday! Have a happy and safe weekend.
