Halloween Weekend

Good morning friends, happy Monday! I have been wide awake since 4:30 am, and I know I'll be exhausted later working until 7. The time change has apparently affected me as well, when normally I adjust pretty easily. Part of why I'm having such a hard time sleeping in is that I'm a little anxious (but a good anxious!) We should be finding out the gender of our 2nd baby a little later today, and we also put in an offer on a home over the weekend. I am sooo excited to find out if we are having a little boy or a little girl. I also really hope this home works out, because it's in a neighborhood I have had my eye on and the house is so cute. Lots of exciting things to look forward to!!!

As far as our weekend, it was pretty low-key. We had a fun Halloween, although it definitely wasn't a 'typical' Halloween, and our Sunday was a perfect catch-up-on-chores day. I have just a few pictures to share with you guys, as I didn't take many.

Ella was supposed to be a unicorn, but decided last minute she wanted to wear the bunny ears instead of the unicorn headband. It was a costume I bought at Carters this Summer for like 4$, and I'm so glad it still fit.

Sweet girl!

We gave Ella her boo basket early in the day, and she enjoyed exploring it all day long. She spent much of the day using her new coloring book and crayons. Later in the day, when Michael got home from work, we took her to his parent's for dinner.

Trick or treat Grandma, let me in! I used to make that same little awkward smile as a kid... I wish I could find a good picture!

Once we got home, it was dark out and we could see children out in their costumes. Ella had made a costume change into her sloth onesie and I unfortunately don't have a good picture. I decided to take her for a walk down the street so she could experience the excitement of Halloween night, walking the streets in the dark (which she has never done) and seeing all the decorations lit up. She loved it! And a few of our neighbors had placed goodie bags outside for the children to grab. I let Ella go to a few homes and still made her say "trick or treat" before grabbing any candy, as practice for the future. It was so cute you guys. When we got home I lysol wiped everything and Ella enjoyed a treat or two.

She did pretty good for only a few homes. And let's be honest, she won't be eating 99% of that but I really took her for the experience. Now Michael and I have some treats at home, haha.

We hope you and your family had a safe and happy Halloween.

Now if you need me, I'll be checking my email every 2 seconds to see if my midwife has filled me in on our sweet little one's gender... Are you team girl or boy??? :)

**Thank you for the hosts of today's link up.**

  2. Such an exciting time for you all with the house (I hope it worked out!) and finding out about baby boy or girl. I can't want to hear the results.
