Happy Easter

Hi everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say hello and wish those that celebrate, a Happy Easter. This year is obviously a bit different for everyone, but we are making the best of it. We hope you and your family are safe, happy and healthy at this time. If you are an essential or healthcare worker, we are so thankful for you.

My original plan for this year was to sign us up for professional family photos for several of the major holidays. Well, given how things have been going, it's probably a good thing I dropped the ball and forgot to book anything. Instead, Ella and I did a little Easter photoshoot at home. Ella is a lot more active and defiant these days. I may or may not have had to bribe her with chocolate to take these photos... Obviously these aren't as high quality as professional photos, but they were free and fun to take.

This one is my favorite. Except Ella had erased my "Hello Easter" note on the chalkboard and I never put it back up. But I love her little face.

This one cracks me up because she had actually fallen into the balloons and was cracking up. But what a model pose she has going on.
And this one is the most "Ella" to me. Her face is sooo typical and she's carrying around her bunny that she takes EVERYWHERE. Hahaha!

And of course, a candid.

No Easter Bunny pics from the mall this year. But I imagine this is what Ella's face would have looked like... :P

Ella got an Easter basket, which I gave to her early. When we were told hiking trails, beaches and all playgrounds were closed, I knew we'd need these extra activities and toys... so I just told her the Easter bunny dropped it off early. Luckily she's at an age where she doesn't understand or care about things like that yet.

The basket is from last year, and I plan on using it every year moving forward. The goodies inside all came from Target.

-Spring is Here sketchbook $3
-Crayola bath paint $1
-Bubbles $1 (the pack came with 3)
-Animals book $4
-Chalk eggs $1
-Plastic eggs with toy dinosaurs $2
-Almond Joy egg

For under $11 I was able to give Ella an Easter basket with goodies that she LOVES. The bubbles are already gone, the chalk has been a daily activity, the bath paint is nearly gone and you know the chocolate egg is gone, haha. I am so happy she loved everything and I didn't spend an arm and a leg.

Thanks for reading! Happy Easter. Have a wonderful day with your family.
