Fall Home Tour

Linking up with A Little Bit of Emily & Meet the Shaneyfelts today.

Welcome to our Fall Home Tour!

We are still apartment living, so the tour will be brief! Southern California homes are very expensive, so we need to wait until the market simmers down a bit before we buy our own house. For now, this is home and we love it. Our apartment is a cozy space that is exactly what we need for right now. I didn't go too crazy with the decorations this year because Ella is just starting to move around and she loves pulling everything off of the shelves. Once we have a home of our own, I will invest in higher quality decor. I am happy with how the apartment came out though!

I haven't decorated our front door yet, as I am waiting to buy pumpkins when we go to the pumpkin patch. But I will share as soon as I get that done. :)

Welcome in!

I bought a festive pillow at our local Marshalls. I found a similar one here.
The other pillows are old (if you can't tell) and are from Ikea. Our sofa is also from Ikea and pulls out to a sofa bed. So while it's not cute, it is very convenient when my family from Maine comes to stay. It's also extremely convenient for snuggling and watching movies.

The end table got a simple Hello Fall sign, a faux pumpkin, a candle and a metal pumpkin photo holder. I need to print out some updated pics of Ella to add to our various frames. This end table also normally homes Michael's water, laptop and phone. :)

My bookshelf is one of my favorite things to decorate. Just a couple of Halloween signs, a couple of candles and my scarecrow tin and it's complete.

I added this dresser to our living room before Ella was born. We needed something to hold shoes, extra toys and random nonsense that was floating around our apartment. It was the perfect piece. I just added a few simple Fall touches. As you can see, we desperately need to update our picture frames.

Our TV stand got some more fun little finds from The Dollar Tree, like this burlap pumpkin that Ella loves ripping off the shelf and destroying.

This Two-Tier stand is from Marshalls and was only $15. I have been waiting to find a good deal on one that fits our style. I was excited to decorate it with my pumpkin salt/pepper shakers and plates, both a couple years old. I added some pinecones, a pumpkin, a sign, and some candy corn. It makes me happy every time I see it!

A festive kitchen towel that is decoration ONLY! We have many other kitchen towels that can get gross, but not this beauty. I like the fringe. Michael is all about practicality, and having a towel out that is purely for decoration absolutely kills him. We compromise, and it's staying :)

Our coffee corner got some festive napkins, pinecones, and my favorite white pumpkin dish that holds stevia packets. The red bottle cork is actually connected to a string of lights and it looks so pretty with the lights turned down low.

Ella's nursery got some festive decorations as well. I just threw a string of orange lights on her dresser, a mini pumpkin (that she helped me pick out) and that's all.

I didn't do anything in our bedroom or bathroom this year. As much as I would have loved to have every room decorated from top to bottom, it just doesn't make sense for us right now. I hope as Ella gets older, she enjoys the holidays as much as I do and wants to decorate with me!

I cant wait to look at all of your gorgeous homes!

    1. Is this the Eva I think it is? You are sweet to comment :) My sister got it for me for Christmas. We want to go buy pumpkins too- but I am waiting for the pumpkin patch to open. The big ones from the store weren't very good.

  3. V. Cute! I bought some buffalo check fall pillow covers and I love them. Marshalls is always a favorite place to shop. It's always fun going away with a cute bargain.

  4. I love it!! We lived in an apartment our first year of marriage so I understand not wanting to buy a ton or spend a lot when you don't know what will work for a hour later on.
